India believes in "Atithi Devo Bhava" which literally mean "Guest is God".Here you can get the privilege, respect and attention that you may not experience in your own country.
But does it mean that foreigners should also be allowed to abuse the system in the very country that makes them feel so special?
But does it mean that foreigners should also be allowed to abuse the system in the very country that makes them feel so special?
Yes, there are occasions when foreigners crosses all limits and take advantage of the genuine Indian hospitality to do things which are simply intolerable.
There are many articles as well as videos that provides information to foreigners on how to avoid getting scammed in India. But, how about the protection of Indians from those foreigners who comes to their country to scam them out of their money cause them harm?
1. Taking Pictures and videos without anyone permission.
Even though taking pictures or videos of someone without their permission is considered to be offensive by most. Many western tourists most often takes photos and videos of poor people in India without their permission to do so.

Oftentimes, these tourist carry around cameras when walking to the slums and the more improvised areas. Such tourists need to take into consideration that how they would feel if an Indian visits their poor part of their country and filmed the poor people without their permission.
Just because, many Indians are camera friendly it doesn't mean that their privacy should be invaded. For most of the tourists it could be just a slum but for many Indians it's their home.
Something else to be remembered is that just because something doesn't look much valuable to you, doesn't mean isn't.
For example, buying a house in a middle-class city could cost more than across may European countries.
2. Insensible towards religious sites.

2. Insensible towards religious sites.
It is very common for many foreigners to be insensitive towards the local customs and religions in India. Even though we might often see young foreigners kissing inside many religious and sacred sites and also the foreigner women that go topless or even nude at the beaches in India, which are actually meant for families to enjoy which unknowingly, it is a disrespectful to the people of India and our way of life.
3. Violating Visa rules and regulations
3. Violating Visa rules and regulations
It's completely not uncommon in India to violate the visa rules by the foreigners. Many foreigners even travel to areas that they already know that even the Indians are denied to access by the local enforcement.
One of the example of this happening was, when John Allen Chau an American national, breached every rules that he possibly could to covert the aboriginal tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India.
John Allen goal was for the ancient Indian tribe to leave behind their culture and tradition and convert to Christianity.
4.May be the reason for illegal intoxication issues.

In India, tourists are frequently apprehended by law enforcement for either doing or selling drugs. And do you know, that some foreigners visiting India are responsible for such curious crimes, that anyone would be worried for their safety.
Not so long ago, a British man was arrested in Delhi for sexually assaulting blind children while working under the guise of being a charity worker.
5.Does our adopted child remain safe?
One of the most worst act committed by foreigners visiting India is abusing a child while returning to their home countrycountry after adopting them from an Indian orphanage.
An orphan, who gets adopted hopes for a new home , a new start and lot of affections form the adopters. However, that's not might always be the casecase, if the adopter is a pedophile from a rich western nation.
Do you know that in 2012, quite sensationally the Russian President banned the adoption of Russian children by America citizens.
On many occasions, children who are adopted from foreign countries or nations are listed like commodities in America and all this takes place quite openly.

Americans are big on adopting children. They have adopted nearly 243,000 children from other countries since the late 1990's.
For more developing countries like India, when a potential adopter from a developed country like USA shows interest in adopting an orphan, the local authorities tends to feel grateful. But no one knows exactly what is in store for the orphan child once he or she is sent away.

In 2013,an investigation revealed the chilling truth of how foreign children who were once adopted from the abroad were being listed online in the USA. Children who are adopted from countries like Russia, China, Ukraine, Ethiopia were listed.
The investigation analyzed 5,029 posts from a five years time periodperiod and the youngest child was listed was just 10 months old.
The US government estimates that domestic adoption fails at a range ranging from 10-25%. And if the international adoption fails with about same frequency then, more than 24,000 foreign adoptees are no longer with their parents who brought them to the United States.
So the question is, "Are Indian authorities and Indian media is aware of this situation?"
Conclusion:
Well, lastly I want to state that "India didn't colonized Europe" despite, the fact is European countries colonized India.
But, we Indians nevertheless try every possible ways to welcome and greet our tourists with a full of joy.
Indians were looted, colonized and even Torurted by foreigners for many centuries. But, still the global media outlets appears more concerned about how much foreigners are safe in India?
Perhaps, we could finally also start asking whether Indians are safe from foreigners?
Perhaps, we could finally also start asking whether Indians are safe from foreigners?
After all, not all guests visit India are Gods.
Thank you.
