Northeast India also popularly known as "The Seven Sisters" are easternmost states of India.There is a huge diversity of flora and fauna available here and one of the largest biological hotspot of India.The Northeast India considered as the paradise for its amazing tourist attractions, culture and tradition.

Earlier, Northeast India consists of 7 states namely:Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura,Manipur and Meghalaya, but in 2001 Sikkim officially became a part of it.

Besides, of its beauty, culture and tradition people from other parts of the country took it to different situation. Many of us, from these states are treated as differently comparing to others.

Rest of it, coming to the point,there are various beliefs and myths about Northeast India that are obviously not true, and doesn't make any sense. I am not putting a finger upon you, just here to realize you that, this is one of the most amazing site in India you should visit once before you die.

Many of you may know about this but for those who really thinks, this site is full of uneducated, uncivilized and uncultured people and one more thing, many of times I came across people asking is it located in India. Yes, my dear ones it is located in India and we also sing the national anthem, we celebrate independence day and republic day on 15 Aug and 26 Jan respectively,besides of this we also celebrate national festives like holi, diwali, dusherra and the list goes on and on, is not enough to be treated as our own Indians?

So, these are the 6 Common Myths about Northeast India that doesn't make any Sense.

1.Jungles Everywhere.!!

Besides of jungles and bushes,here are some of the most amazing places to explore in and the tribals of our states may not be literate so much,but they can teach or describe you the real scenerio of ,so what called "Art of living".Education is not everything,but the knowledge is.

And if you are talking about the jungles,come and visit guwahati,gangtok,mizoram,tawang and more on cities that will for sure change your mindset.

2.Not even one airport, transportation is very poor. 

The Northeast India consists of 2 international airports and 3rd is coming soon, followed by 11 domestic airports. Is it not sufficient to travel in and out.

Wait this is not over yet, Northeast India Frontier Railways plays an important role in transporting all over India, more on Northeast consists a no. of railways stations to make transport more supple and easy.

3.The food of this region, really sucks. 

Have you ever tasted smoked pork,momo,thukpa,bamboo steamed fish or else pitha of Northeast India. Seriously, you will definitely remember for your whole life, the mouthwatering taste of these foods, you will bound to thank me.

We Northeast Indian people, never compromised in terms of food taste and quality, maybe we don't like to have much spices like others do but this doesn't means the food is tasteless.

4.Women are not safe in these states. 

Did you know that most of the Northeast Indian States believes in matriarchy, which provides women their equal rights in terms of society, culture and tradition than any of the Indian states at present.

Moreover, the rate sexual assault, rape and women  harassment is at the lowest rate comparing to any Indian states.

5.There is no Nightlife.

Bunch of you may think, that our beloved Northeast Indian people lacks the night life, cook food , eat and sleep in early evening. But, that is not so well said, yes some people get tired and have to run to their crop fields in early morning, but that doesn't means we all skips the night life. 

Here you can come across many pubs and night discos all over the states, and for sure you will not different from others, like we have to feel in many situations in other parts of India.

6.They lacks fashion, no sense of dressing. 

This is the worst myth I ever came across, because Northeast people is very well-known for their sense of dressing from any of the Western States. 

Yes, we like to wear our own traditions. But, that doesn't impact on sense of dressing and might often people pass comments on the girls on shorts and thinks kind of Showoff.!! That's not a reason to feel guilty what she wear, the thing is you should be comfortable enough what you wear. And obviously it's her choice😂😂. 

Conclusion:

Again, I want to clarify not all are bad as well as not all are good. I am sharing personal experience of mine and my fellow beings this does not mean that all non-northeastern people have same perspective to Northeast Indian people.

This is not intimate to hurt any one feelings, it is just a perspective of mine and fellow beings who had come accrossed this type of situations.And it's never late to explore this alluring places on earth, go back your packs right away and jump on to the ride.
